Carlos Sainz dominated the first free practice session this Friday Mexican Grand Prix, before a second where drivers dedicate themselves to testing Pirelli tires without leaving real-time references. Therefore, the Ferrari driver was happy with his performance on the opening day of the weekend.
“It was a good day here in Mexico. We completed two sessions without any problems and we changed the car a bit between the two sessions to try different settings”, explained Sainz after finishing the day.
The Ferrari driver explained that the altitude of the circuit will be an additional difficulty. “It’s not an easy circuit and we lack downforce because of the heightbut we’re having fun,” he said.
In large part, thanks to the support of all the Mexican fans, whom Sainz thanked for their love. “Thank you to all the Mexican fans for their great support. It’s always wonderful to pass by the stadium area and hear them cheer”, he said. “We will try to offer them a good show this weekend”, promised the Madrilenian.
