The Hozono Global Jairis can’t with the almighty Casademont Zaragoza

The Hozono Global Jairis couldn’t reach the all-powerful leader of the Women’s Endesa League, Casademont Zaragoza this Sunday. Fausto Vicent dressed up for the event, the Alcantarilla team’s second home game. Belén Arrojo, Marina Lizarazu, María Bettencourt, Melisa Brcaninovic and Tamara Seda opened the game for the home side. A fateful start to the game ended with a 2-11 visiting team. Led by Claudia Contell, the team tried to react and close the gap on the scoreboard. The third quarter ended with a final basket from Zaragoza, increasing the distance to 16 points (32-48).

The exchange of blows between both teams continued, but the Hozono Global Jairis couldn’t get close to the scoreboard. Two triples in a row from Casademont Zaragoza put an end to the sewer team’s ambitions to add their third win this Sunday. The match ended with a score of 45-66.
