The Players Association, on an institutional trip to Palestine

The men’s team of Agrupació Players del FC Barcelona (ABJ) played a friendly match this Friday with the Arab Orthodox Cultural Club (AOC) in Bethlehem (Palestine). The fight ended with a result 1-4 in favor of the team of former Barça players. Barça’s goals were scored by Vicenç Navarro, Albert Garcia, Alguer Brugarola and Manel Martínez, in a match where ‘Tente’ Sánchez acted as captain and where former first team player Pepito also played Ramos.

The group team, trained by Jordi Gonzalvohad the following former Club players: Jordi Aguilar, Félix Barrado, Javi Botella, Juan G. Orti, Daniel Cusiné, Ignacio Grifé, José M. Guijo, Alguer Brugarola, Óscar Lausín, Javier López Aguilera, José M. Ballesteros , Vicente Navarro, Sergi Pérez, Javier Pitarch, José M. Pujol, Pepito Ramos, Tente Sánchez, Jordi Torcal, Florenci Toro and Albert Garcia.

The fight became the main reason of the Group’s trip to Palestine, invited by the AOC with the aim of strengthening bonds of friendship and sharing common values. On Thursday, the day before the game, a delegation led by Ramon Alfonseda and vice presidents ‘Tente’ Sánchez and Félix Barrado visited the Palestinian Football Federation and its sports facilities. There they met the president Jobreel Rjoob. Later, the team visited the Yasser Arafat Museum in Ramallah and organized a sports activity for boys and girls in the same town. The expedition will return to Barcelona on Monday, November 7, after completing his stay in Palestine with a visit to Jerusalem and Jericho.
