Henley was second best on day one, last Thursday, where he also shot 63 shots. In the second, the 59th ranked golfer in the world made four birdies.
The American Will Gordon, the surprise leader of the first round, fell to second place ending with 67 strokes.
the defending champion Viktor Hovland still did not show his best golf and now dropped from seventh to fourteenth place because of his 69 strokes.
Grillo is the best Latin placed twenty-ninth, the same place as the favorite to take Mayakoba, the American Scottie Scheffler, second in the PGA ranking; Munoz is in 55th place.
The tournament, held at the ‘El chameleon’ club in the Riviera Maya, in the Mexican Caribbean, distributes a purse of 8.2 million dollars and this Saturday continues with its third and penultimate round.
