Ten Hag couldn’t stand the behavior of one of his players

Date:

Erik Ten Hagtechnician of Man Utdpraised the improvement Alexander Garnacho, but warned him about his attitude. The Argentine soccer player, who provided two assists in Thursday’s League Cup win over Aston Villa, had behavioral problems during preseason last summer, according to his teammate Bruno Fernandes.

Garnacho, 18, has had more chances in the team and after scoring his first goal against Real Sociedad in the Europa League, he came off the bench on Thursday in the League Cup. “He was really good, how he came off the bench and how he had an impact on the game. He assisted, he dribbled and he shot wide,” said Ten Hag.

“He still has things to learn, but we’re very happy with his development and what he brings to the team. Now, it depends on his attitude. If he keeps working, he might even play. He wants to improve every day. He has to do the right things in his life, he has very good qualities,” added the Dutch coach.

Fernandes, a few days ago, also referred to Garnacho’s attitude and explained that for this reason he has not had many opportunities in the team until now. “At the beginning of the season he wasn’t at his best level, in the pre-season he didn’t show the attitude he should have and that’s the reason why he hasn’t had opportunities until now,” assured the Portuguese.
