The Norwegian team is not classified for the World Cup but this week they will play two friends. The first takes place on Thursday against Ireland at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin, although Erling Haaland will be the absentee.
The Norwegian Football Federation announced on Sunday that the Manchester City striker would not play the match despite the main claim that 45,000 tickets had already been sold.
Haaland has been suffering from a ligament problem in his right ankle since he withdrew on October 25 at half-time against Borussia Dortmund-City in the Champions League. After two games, reappeared on November 5 in the second half against Fulham and achieved victory (2-1) by scoring a penalty in the discount.
Haaland was rested for the next game (2-0 against Chelsea in the 1/16 final of the League Cup) and on Saturday he did not score for 90 minutes against Brentford. He will be reserved again on Thursday in the friendlies against Ireland, but his presence in the Norway-Finland match next Sunday is not allowed.
