FIFA is handing out wristbands that each team must wear throughout the World Cup

Date:

Yesterday, Monday, we knew that England Y Welsh They gave up at the last minute to bring the bracelet in favor of society LGBTI as they will initially bring both Harry Kane and Gareth Bale, as captains of the English and Welsh teams. The decision was adopted because, if they did, they would be punished with a yellow card or even be able to ask them to leave the field of play.

FIFA relies on the Regulations for this World Cup. Specifically in section 3, where it says verbatim: “Both players and officials will be prohibited from displaying any kind of political, religious or personal message or slogan in any language or form. Also, they will be prohibited from displaying of any kind of commercial message or slogan in any language or manner during their participation in official activities organized by FIFA (including official matches and training sessions, as well as official press conferences and mixed zone activities)”.

But also the bracelets that the teams have to wear in this World Cup were given by FIFA itself. This is clarified in article 30 of the same Regulation regarding other types of equipment. It is in paragraph two of point 1 where it says that “FIFA will provide the participating teams with a set of special equipment upon arrival in the host country (bottles, coolers, first-aid kit, captain’s armbands, etc.. .)” .

In the same text it made it clear that any other bracelet is prohibited: “In the stadium and in official training sessions, only this equipment may be used; similar items will be discarded.”
