The Jean Bouin-Gran Premio Allianz, the 99th edition of the Clásica Atlética MD of Barcelonawas held early this Sunday on a cold but sunny morning in the Catalan capital.
More than 10,000 athletes competed in the MD Athletic Classic’s two Open tests, the 5 and 10kwhere female presence is 46 and 28% respectively.
Alberto Casas, from Jaén, took the victory after a tight and exciting sprintahead of Albacete Athletics Club runner Bernat Kim, same time, 3:27 and Antoni-Joab Solergibert (L’Hospitalet Atletisme).
In the female category, Cristina Silva (Ironwill Solideo) made good predictions and prevailed with authority, with a time of 34:33; ahead of Elisa Melilla, 36:21, and Txell Jarque (Katoa), with 36:28.
They had previously reached Bouin’s original goal, Arc de Triomf, the 5K vendorsin the great athletics festival par excellence, the Jean Bouin, which held its first edition in 1920 and which included an athletic morning with a total of 15 races.
After the Open tests, the Bouin party continued with the first podiums and the international race with the presence of professionals and the emotional 10 tests for the under 18s.
