Sebastian Vettel He played his last F1 race in the last GP of Abu Dhabi. The German wants to devote more time to his family, and possibly to his fight against climate change and for global equality. He has already said that his “best race” is yet to be played, showing that he still has a lot of plans for the future outside of F1, certainly, in relation to the claims that he has been with these last two years in F1. however, Marko Helmutadviser of red bullthe team with which Vettel won his four world titles, already has a future planned for the four-time champion of F1. This is what the Austrian himself said in remarks to ‘Sky Germany’ recently.
“Sebastian (Vettel) and I talked in Abu Dhabi. I think if I could get a senior management position at Red Bull I would be interested, that’s what came out when we talked.. Now, we’ll let you plant some trees and then we’ll see what happens. Undoubtedly, he will have the potential and personality required for such a position,” said Marko, making it clear that Red Bull’s doors are open for the return of his former champion.
“I wouldn’t rule out him coming back to the team in a management position. I’m about to turn 80…”he added, hinting that perhaps his presence in F1 could end and ‘Seb’ could be the man in charge of hiring him.
“We have two teams and we are open to talk to him (Sebastian). Sebastian can make the difference if he is a senior manager. Employees have to come earlier and leave later.”, he pointed out, clarifying the high level of involvement that Vettel has always shown in his role as a driver, as one of the closest to the factory on the entire grid and one of the drivers who have worked the longest hours outside the car.
“I’m sure he has the potential and personality to lead a team,” added. “Sebastian is one of those people who is annoyingly good at everything he does. I’m sure he will be very good at that too,” said Red Bull Team Principal Christian Horner.
