After the first two days of the World Cup group stage, 30 of the 32 teams that made it out of the tournament are still in contention. Just the organizer QatarY Canada they were mathematically eliminated after a misunderstanding of the second game.
In Brazil, France and Portugal Already classified, the third day’s clashes starting this Wednesday will decide the fate of the other teams in contention and the composition of the round of 16.

Ecuador – Senegal (November 29, 4:00 pm)
Netherlands – Qatar (November 29, 16:00)
The Netherlands will qualify if they win or draw. They will also advance if Ecuador loses and beats Senegal.
Ecuador will enter the top 16 of the World Cup if they score at least one point against Senegal or if they lose and Qatar beat the Netherlands by more goals.
Senegal will advance to the round of 16 if they beat Ecuador or draw and Qatar beat the Netherlands by three goals.

Iran – United States (November 29, 20:00)
Wales v England (November 29, 8:00 pm)
A draw against Wales would qualify England for the round of 16.
The winner of Iran – United States will advance to the next stage.
Iran can reach a draw as long as England do not lose to Wales.
It only serves Wales to defeat England by landslide.

Group C
Poland – Argentina (November 30, 20:00)
Saudi Arabia – Mexico (November 30, 20:00)
With a win, Argentina will top the group. A draw could be enough to qualify as long as Mexico do not beat Saudi Arabia.
Poland secured qualification with a draw on the final day
If Saudi Arabia beat Mexico, they will advance to the next stage.
Mexico needs to beat the Saudis to stay in the competition.

Group D
Tunisia – France (November 30, 16:00)
Australia v Denmark (November 30, 4:00 pm)
France is classified for the round of 16.
Denmark will qualify if they beat Australia on the final date and Tunisia fail to beat France.
Tunisia need to beat France to progress, as long as Denmark can’t get past Australia.
Australia will advance to the round of 16 if they beat Denmark or if they are drawn and Tunisia fail to beat France.

Group E
Japan – Spain (December 1, 20:00)
Costa Rica – Germany (December 1, 20:00)
Spain are tied with Japan to qualify, but their goal difference means they can advance even with a loss.
Japan will ensure qualification if they beat Spain. To meet, Germany and Costa Rica must also finish the level.
If Costa Rica wins, they will enter the round of 16.
Germany needs to beat Costa Rica and Japan can’t beat Spain to get into the top 16.

Group F
Croatia – Belgium (December 1, 16:00)
Canada – Morocco (December 1, 16:00)
A draw would put Croatia through to the next stage.
A win would qualify Belgium for the round of 16.
Morocco will advance to the round if they win against Canada, but they could also catch up if they go unbeaten and Belgium keep Croatia unbeaten.

Serbia – Switzerland (December 2, 20:00)
Cameroon – Brazil (December 2, 20:00)
Brazil is now classified in the round of 16.
If Switzerland beat Serbia they will be in the top 16. The draw will also serve unless Brazil lose to Cameroon.
If Serbia beat Switzerland, they will advance to the next round unless Cameroon beat Brazil. In that case, it will be necessary to check the difference of purpose.
Defeat will leave Cameroon if Switzerland fail to beat Brazil.
A win will qualify Switzerland if Serbia fail to win against Cameroon.

Group H
South Korea – Portugal (December 2, 16:00)
Ghana – Uruguay (December 2, 16:00)
Portugal is already classified for the round of 16.
Ghana progress if they beat Uruguay or draw and South Korea failed to beat Portugal by at least three goals.
Uruguay and Korea Republic have the same score, so both have to win and, in such case, the classification will be determined according to established tiebreaker criteria.
