Klopp: "I liked every second of the first part"

Date:

Jürgen Klopp, Liverpool manager, was enthusiastic after the 2-3 win against Manchester City, which allowed the ‘red’ team to qualify for the FA Cup final. Chelsea or Crystal Palace, the rival: they will play in their semi-final this Sunday (17.30).

“I’m absolutely proud, it was incredible. I think the first half is one of the best we’ve ever played,” said a happy Klopp once the FA Cup semi-final against the ‘citizens’ was over in what is currently the great classic of English football.

Klopp’s Liverpool, who already won the Carabao Cup against Chelsea on penalties in February, are looking to win three more titles: the Premier (where they are one point behind City’s Pep Guardiola, the leader ), the Champions League (they will play in the semifinals against Villarreal) and the FA Cup (the final, on May 14 at Wembley). Pep Guardiola’s City could win the Premier and the Champions this season (where in the semifinals they will face Real Madrid).

“We did everything right. We scored at the right time. We played an amazing game in the first half, I loved every second of that first half,” Klopp said.

Ibrahima Konaté advanced to Liverpool with a headed goal, Sadio Mané scored second after taking advantage of a mistake by City goalkeeper Zack Steffen, and third after a game with Alexander-Arnold and Thiago. For City they cut Jack Grealish and Bernardo Silva.
