The American Harold Varner III, with 202 strokes -11 under par-, is the new leader of the PGA Tour RBC golf tournament Heritage, with less impact than his compatriot Patrick Cantlay, Irishman Shane Lowry and South African Erik van Rooyen.
Varner III (67 72 63) showed a clean card where he scored eight birdieswho preceded him, followed by Cantlay (66 67 70), who can now only deduct one shot from par with five birdies for four bogeys.
Van Rooyen (69 67 67) finished this third round without fail and with four birdieswhile Lowry (66 72 65) showed a card with eight birdies for two bogeys.
Four strokes behind the leader were Chileans Mito Pereira (66 71 69) and Joaquín Neimann (65 72 69)while Colombian Camilo Villegas (71 67 74) will have few options, who amassed 212 hits and who has now finished with three hits over par.
Farther than the Chileans, with 209 hits, seven behind the leader, is the American Collin Morikawa (70 70 69), second in the world ranking, added three birdies for a bogey.
