That same year, São Silvestre Vallecana surpassed the mythical São Silvestre de São Paulo in the number of registrations and level of international athletes.

San Silvestre Vallecana, ten kilometers long, leaves from outside the Santiago Bernabéu stadium, from Avenida Concha Espina, and ends at Calle Candilejas, in the neighborhood of Vallecas, in its famous edition, while the international makes it inside the Rayo stadium.

This year the popular race has the participation of 41,000 runners joining the two thousand who will start internationally.
