The French, Fabio Quartararo and the Italian Franco Morbidelli, dressed up their new Yamaha YZR M 1 gala this Tuesday in Jakarta where they will compete in the 2023 MotoGP world championship.

The Yamaha MotoGP team has announced their new color scheme at the dealer of the Japanese brand “Indonesia Motor Manufacturing”, the world’s largest dealer center within the Yamaha network.

Yamaha Motor President and Yamaha Motor Racing President Takahiro Sumi, Yamaha Motor Racing CEO Lin Jarvis, Yamaha Indonesia Motor Manufacturing President Dyonisius Beti, Team Principal Massimo Meregalli, and riders Fabio Quartararo and Franco Morbidelli, took the stage to share their excitement ahead of the start of the 2023 MotoGP World Championship in Portugal next March.

Yamaha has a long-term global partnership with the team’s title sponsor, Monster Energy., who took root in his passion for racing following a multi-year first sponsorship deal signed in the summer of 2018; this was extended to last year’s Catalan Grand Prix and was fittingly celebrated when Fabio Quartararo won the world title.

The team’s new livery, in camouflage, mixes the colors of Yamaha (with a new addition of gray) featuring Monster Energy’s adventurous lifestyle color scheme and iconic claw mark remain instantly recognizable on the bikes, logo and team uniforms.

The 2021 world champion, the French Fabio Quartararo, recalled that his winter holidays “didn’t go well” because he was injured “the hand during a motocross training”, although he immediately clarified that he continued to “work non-stop”. “With a lot of cardio to make sure I’m 100 percent for the 2023 season,” he said.

My hand injury is fully recovered, so I feel ready to fight for the title again and I think the new camouflage decoration is a good change, I like the new look and it’s good to change a bit”, Quartararo said in the team’s presentation.

But most importantly, I’m looking forward to riding again and I’m very curious to test the 2023 YZR-M1 in Sepang.although we will work hard this season, as we always do and we have learned a lot in 2022, so now I just want to fight for the title again,” the French champion is convinced.

His teammate, Franco Morbidelli said that they are starting “from scratch with a new decoration” And that’s why “everything is back to zero and everything is possible this season, so it’s an exciting prospect.”

“We finished 2022 with a feeling of improvement, although now it is important that we do a good job in the next winter tests, so that we are ready to start the season in March with the first race in Portugal,” said Morbidelli , who recalled: “There is a new race format, which the drivers and teams have to get used to, but I see it as a positive change because it is something that the fans will enjoy.”
