UEFA has agreed to close the north curve of the Vélodrome for one game, so Marseille will have to deliver the penalty on May 5 in the second leg of the Conference League semifinals against Feyenoord.
This decision came after incidents that took place in the first leg of the quarterfinal against PAOK Thessaloniki, which were played on April 7. Marseille also had to face a fine of 80,000 euros for lighting flares, throwing objects and public disturbance, and another 18,000 for blocking access to the stands.
PAOK, also sanctioned
Also, UEFA banned PAOK, which has already been removed, from selling tickets to its supporters away from their home for its next match against the continental competition and fined it 50,000 euros for throwing objects, lighting flares, injuries and disturbance of people.
This prohibition, however, is subject to a probation period of two years from this decision.
In addition, the Greek club was ordered to contact Marseille within 30 days for the settlement of injuries caused by their supporters.
