Last Monday we told Mundo Deportivo that this week is key to the immediate future of Women’s Professional League (League F). Because it should be these next few days when the CSD must inform the female employer how the conflict of the arbitration receipt of RFEF that the clubs have dragged since the start of the season.
A receipt of 14,600 euros denounced by the F League before the Higher Sports Council because it did not respond to the agreement of the 15th of last year between the RFEF and the CSD where it was set at 4,050 euros (1,066 euros per game for in collegiate, 1,006 for the assistant and 250 for the fourth referee). Response that at this moment is not made from CSD. This situation means that each club has to pay around 225,000 euros this season, which is equivalent to 15 out of 30 in the competition playing at home.
The mentioned amount is far from the 60,750 euros agreed to be paid in this matter for these fifteen games and the 16 clubs in the category have budgeted. I understand that, as this newspaper has learned, there are clubs that are not paying at the moment while waiting for the dispute to be resolved. This directly influences the negotiation of the future collective agreement that is currently being negotiated.
Through this agreement the two parties (employer and union) met last Wednesday and where, as we have already expected in Mundo Deportivo, he presented a proposal for a minimum wage and did so despite no resolution on the receipt of arbitration.
The proposal starts at a minimum of 17,000 euros without any partiality. In other words, since it is a professional competition, it implies 100% dedication to football activity. The current agreement includes a minimum salary of 16,000 euros with 75% partiality.
This amount is the minimum salary for which the 16 clubs in the category can sign their contracts. In addition, the proposal includes gradual growth over the next five years that could reach a total of 3,000 euros more than the initial 17,000 euros (minimum salary around 20,000 euros per year and impartial).
It is time for the unions to value the proposal
Now it should be the bargaining unions (FUTPRO, AFE, Futbolistas On, UGT and CCOO) that appreciate this proposal and it will be in the next meeting with the employers in mid-February when they will express their point of view.
A proposal that is very far from the 50,000 euros minimum wage proposed by FUTPRO and that, as we have already said in this newspaper, cannot be realized because it would be death for the 16 clubs in the category. Because we are talking about more than 1.5 million euros in minimum wages for soccer players and to which, in addition to salaries, social security must be added, which already indicates 35% of that amount.
So, it will be in February if progress can be made on the big question of the future agreement and if by then the conflict of the receipt of arbitration has been resolved.
