Thirty cyclists shone in the final flight
Ben Turner is the winner of the Tour of the Region of Murcia. The 23-year-old Englishman triumphed in a tight final sprint through Parque Torres. In one of the closest finishes of the Tour of Murcia, the cyclist of the Ineos Grenadiers won the 43rd edition.
About thirty cyclists staged the last escape and already entered through the bridge of the Soldado Rosique street in Cartagena. It was in the turn towards the Alameda where the cuézanlo José Joaquín Rojas fell to the ground in a swarm of wheels and lost any chance of victory in the final stretch.
The race was marked by the bite on the route, reduced from 194.7 kilometers to 183.5. The Murcian round started several minutes late in San Javier, as El Paso was suppressed by its main port: Collado Bermejo due to bad weather for security reasons.
