For companies: Companies also benefit: the ID Austria is easier to integrate into applications, which make safe and at the same time barrier -logging processes possible. For the administration: The ID Austria is the digital backbone of modern administrative processes. More than 500 applications have already been integrated and there will be many more. As an internationally excellent project – with the Egonment Award in Gold, the ID Austria makes a decisive contribution to increasing the efficiency and European connectivity of the Austrian government.
The barrier registration is also new: In addition to biometric processes such as fingerprint or face recognition, the device password or pin code can now also be used as a second factor. This uses different target groups simpler and more flexible.
