Stacy Lewis will continue to captain the team in 2024 USA for Solheim Cupinforming the North American group.
Lewis is already working as the team captain in the 2023 edition, which will be performed on the pitch Finca Cortesin from 22 to 24 September next.
With the renewal it will also be done next year at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Club in Gainesville, Virginia (United States), from September 10 to 15, 2024.
In February 2022, Lewis was appointed captain of the team that will face the European at Finca Cortesín.
At 38 years, 7 months, and 6 days on the first day of competition in 2023 and 39 years, 5 months, and 28 days in 2024, Lewis will be the youngest American captain in Solheim history.
Stacy Lewis is a 13-time winner on the LPGA Tour and owns two majors: the 2011 Chevron Championship and the 2013 AIG Women’s Open.
In 2016, he was a member of ‘Team USA’ at the Rio de Janeiro Olympics, where he finished in a tie for fourth place.
Lewis represented the United States on Solheim Cup teams in 2011, 2013, 2015 and 2017. In 2019, Lewis served as an unofficial assistant captain under Juli Inkster after leaving the competition due to injury, and officially worked in that role under Pat Hurst in 2021 .
