A Portuguese club has signed another son of Rivaldo

Date:

Isaque, Rivaldo’s son, has signed a contract with Vizela, a club in the Portuguese first division where one of his brothers, João Vítor, is already a member.

Isaque, a 16-year-old striker, will join the under-17 team, while Vítor, a year older, plays in the under-19 team.

Rivaldo, world champion in 2022 and legendary former FC Barcelona player, was at the northern Portuguese club’s facility on Monday to accompany Isaque and was “happy with the opportunity that Vizela is giving” to his two children.

friend of the president

“It will be good for Isaque, because of the club’s structure, because of the friendship I have with the president and because of the city, which accepted me very well. I hope they learn,” Rivaldo said in statements released by Vizela.

For his part, the president of the SAD of Vizela, Joaquim Ribeiro, emphasized that “Rivaldo is an icon of the world of football and another father who wants the best for his children, who gives the best condition for men. And that he speaks well of us is a source of pride and proof that the formation is doing a great job”.

Ninth in the Primeira Liga

Vizela plays in the Portuguese first division and is currently ninth in the table.

Rivaldo, 50, is one of the greatest legends in the history of Brazilian football and in the service of his team he won the 2002 World Cup in Korea and Japan, the fifth in the history of the ‘canarinha’.

The club he represented most was Barça, between 1997 and 2002, a period in which he won the Spanish league twice and the Ballon d’Or in 1999.

The former striker’s long list of wins also includes a Champions League won in 2002/2003 with Milan.
