In the coming weeks, the evaluation and digitization process of the fifteen Spanish stadiums eligible to be chosen for a candidacy will start.

Real Murcia was present in Madrid yesterday through José Manuel Sánchez, manager of the centennial entity, at the follow-up meeting of the 2030 World Cup candidacy that Spain is aiming for in a joint proposal with Portugal and Ukraine. It was a working meeting held at the Ciudad del Fútbol de Las Rozas that specified many of the requirements that aspiring venues must meet to host matches in this league.

The meeting was led by Antonio Laranjo, Director of the Coordinating Committee of the Candidacy, Andreu Camps, General Secretary of the Spanish Federation and Jorge Mowinckel, Director of International Relations, who informed the various candidates for locations about the new aspects introduced by part of the cities that choose this election.

In the coming weeks, the evaluation and digitization process of the fifteen Spanish stadiums eligible to be chosen for a candidature that will be evaluated next year by FIFA, the body that governs world football, will begin. In the second half of 2024, the countries that will eventually organize the 2030 World Cup will be announced. According to those present at yesterday’s meeting, much progress has already been made with the candidacy of these three countries.

Meanwhile, the Real Murcia first team will train again today at the Pinatar Arena to prepare for next Saturday’s match (5 p.m.) against Calahorra in La Rioja: “This match and the match against Barça B at home are very important because if we get those six points, we will be hooked to the top places in the table,” said Javi Rueda, the current right-back owner of Simón’s team defense.

The defender, hired by Real Madrid, acknowledges that “we have won two wins in a row and that shows that we have become addicted to the top positions.” Rueda is not concerned about the state of the La Planilla lawn: “We have to adapt to it,” he says.
