Christophe Galtier: “I’m not looking for revenge at Marseille”

Date:

In full recovery phase, PSG face a classic match against Marseille this Sunday which will be used to see if the reaction against Lille is sporadic or decisive. In the preview, Christophe Galtier was calm despite the fact that just three weeks ago the team was eliminated from the French Cup at the Vélodrome. A bad place for the champion, bumped by a better rival.

Another classic, another chance: “I’m not looking for revenge on Marseille. It is up to me to prepare the team properly and nothing else. My footballers have quality, enough personality and pride too. We certainly offer a good image. This is an important game, with Marseille close in the standings. Anyway, I don’t think this match will decide the league, even if we win it”.

Favorite: “I don’t think I can say that PSG is, so is Marseille. Igor Tudor has a lot of class and is a smart guy, but as he said I don’t have the feeling that we will start as favorites in the classic. His team arrived in a good mood and after good results”.

Mbappé, another source: “With Kylian, we have the depth we lacked against Marseille in the Cup, but he not only offers us that resource.”

Achraf doubts: “Tomorrow he will train with the group and we will decide if he is fit to play on Sunday. Just in case, Zaïre-Emery trained on the right side, although his natural position is in midfield”.

The support of the fans: “It’s rare to have them by your side. We have a lot of respect for them. Whenever we lose we feel it because we know what it means to our people. Today’s training session was incredible, but we felt their support since the beginning of the season”.
