Cantlay, number 4 in the world rankings, and Schauffele, ranked 12th, they were the leaders in this tournament on the first day and have yet to release the leadership for the next two days.
The Americans consolidated their position at the top of the tournament on Saturday and in the third round they were the best in the competition with 12 under par.
South Africans Branden Grace and Garrick Higgo were second on five shots of leaders (-24 in total, -9 in the third round).
Colombian Camilo Villegas, the only Hispanic to make the cut, amassed a total of -13 with his partner, American Kyle Stanley.
American Scottie Scheffler, Augusta Masters champion and number one in the world, has -17 with his compatriot Ryan Palmer.
This tournament was only played in pairs on the PGA Tour.
