Anna Comet, star at La Masia to celebrate International Women’s Day

On the occasion of 8-M, International Women’s Daythis Wednesday a speech was held, ‘The preparation of the Marathon des Sables’, aimed at the athletes from La Masía, on the effort, stability and success management, of the high-level mountain athlete Anna Comet. This conference is part of the activities organized by Club’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Department on Women’s Day and belongs to the Continuing Education Classroom program at La Masia.

The speech took place in the Auditori de la Masia and was attended by 40 young people, who had the opportunity to learn firsthand about the history of Anna Comet, an elite athlete who achieved one of her biggest dreams, combined her sports career with facing challenges such as motherhood and family reconciliation. And he delivered it to the youth through his experience preparing the Marathon des Sables, one of the toughest and most demanding races in the world where he himself became the champion in 2022.

“My life is a bit like yours, I left home very young to devote myself to my passion, and it took me a long time to become a mother because I was afraid of losing my sports career,” she explained.
