Martin Odegaard is popular this season with Arsenal. That’s why the 24-year-old Norwegian midfielder was praised on Monday in London Football Awards as the best player of the year in London. But it wasn’t the images where he posed with the trophy that caught the attention.
What caught everyone’s attention was an image in which he was seen at the gala with Norwegian television journalist Helene Spilling. The image of both was taken by ‘Shutterstock’, but removed from the NTB database shortly. And, according to ‘Dagbladet’, it was Arsenal themselves who asked for it to be removed. No one knows why.
“The images have been removed at the club’s request,” wrote the gala’s director, Paul Nanson, in an email. At the same time, ‘The Sun’ wrote about Odegaard and Spilling, 26, having a relationship together and rumors that they are in a relationship have now gained momentum.
