Children against Cancer received this Thursday a donation of €6,900 obtained from the auction of a Movistar Team bicycle.
The cycling team, managed by the Abarca Sports company, donated this exclusive piece to Niños contra el Cáncer for a raffle at their gala last November. In what turned out to be an amazing chain of solidarity, the representatives of the table that won the bicycle – Bestax Abogados y Asesores Tributarios – decided to donate the prize again for their charity auction.
Juan Pajuelo, winner of the auction, delivered the donation in a ceremony held this morning at the Madrid headquarters of the Clínica Universidad de Navarra (CUN). The action also had the participation of Igor Alonso, managing partner of Bestax; Eusebio Unzué, general manager of the Movistar Team and principal leader of the Abarca Sports company; and Esperanza Lozano, CUN director in Madrid.
Pilar Lorenzo, Director of Corporate Social Responsibility thanked this “good gift for Children Against Cancer. The Movistar Team has always supported our project, but the help of Juan Pajuelo and Bestax doubled this generosity. Their commitment will have an even more positive impact on childhood cancer research and treatment.”
