Date:

The coach of Osasuna, Jagoba Arrasateshowed the need for his team to “play a good game” against villarreal where they must create “more chances than in recent games” to come close to victory.

“There are always things to improve. In the last game we were not good and the team is excited to play again at home and show their best image again. We want to go to the break with a good feeling and with a better scores”, indicated the coach of the Navarrese team after the defeat suffered on Saturday in Valencia.

Regarding Aimar’s absence due to suspension, Arrasate said it was an “important absence because he gets a lot of minutes”. “I forgot about him and I was thinking about the solutions I had.”

Regarding the opponent, he said that “we know who we are playing. He has been doing things in a similar way for a while, with a coach who believes in that idea and they will definitely have possession. We have to make them uncomfortable.” He emphasized the “patience” of the submarine: “From there he tries to find the best options, but where it really hurts you is when he connects with those above and gives him such speed. We must be good under pressure. The game must not have one direction because otherwise it is very difficult”.

“At home, we showed that we are a powerful team. We know that we are playing with our fans. It gives us hope, but at the same time we are careful because we are fighting a rival with a very good players”, he pointed out about returning to his stadium, a place where they are able to get the results they want.

Mission: play in the rival field

“We need a lot. We come from a bad game, a loss and we want to win again at home. We have 34 points, which is not enough to save us and we want to get closer. If we feel that need, surely we will get that extra”, it answered when asked about the relationship of the conflict. Arrasate expects his players to be “true to who they are.” “The more we play in the rival field, the better. That will make us more comfortable, inside the game and closer to victory.”

Regarding the call of David García to the national team, Arrasate said that “it is the result of a good job. He will go now, but I think he will be at a high level for a long time. It comes in a moment of maturity. He’s ready and I know he’s very excited. I’m happy because we feel he deserves it”.
