Arnor Sigurdsson (24) left IFK Norrköping in the summer of 2018 for CSKA Moscow. As well as playing for the Russian club, the Icelander was loaned to Italian side Venezia and has now returned to Norrköping on loan after Russia invaded Ukraine. And in the podcast ‘Tuttosvenskan’ he explained the experience of living a game against him real Madrid with CSKA.
At that moment, the Icelander understood how many superstars there are. Not particularly friendly in the field, but always polite. And this is how he explained: “These players are bastards. They play football very well, but when it comes to some marks, tackles and other things, they are the worst. It stays in your head. When you go to face the Real Madrid and Modric are on your heels and tell you that you’re shit… then you realize that they’re not very nice, but they are very good players. Then they shake your hand and show you respect.”
