He Real Betis This Tuesday presented a special kit to be worn by the first teams of all sections in support of sustainability and the fight against climate change, an aspect in which the Verdiblanco club, together with ‘Forever Green’, is a pioneer. The kits are made with one hundred percent recycled polyester, with no chemical additives. In the case of the soccer team, it will be used in competition against spanish in Benito Villamarín on April 16.
The first event where the jersey will be worn is Real Betis Basketball-Unicaja (March 26th). Then it will be the soccer team’s turn, in the aforementioned match against spanish. Real Betis Betis Féminas-Atlético de Madrid (April 30), and Real Betis Futsal-UMA Antequera (May 15) is the other commitment where teams from different sections of Real Betis use these kits.
Joaquin (soccer), BJ Johnson (basketball), Gaelle Thalman (women’s soccer) and Pablo Otero (futsal) selected players from different teams to present the 100% sustainable kit for the Forever Green matches, an initiative presented this Tuesday morning by Ramon AlarconCEO of Real Betis, at the Seville Aquarium. The shirt shown appeared in one of the Seville Aquarium’s tanks, along the Guadalquivir river, where it was rescued by a diver.
The design includes a worn and dirty product template over time. This refers to the ‘3 R’ rules of ecology: reduce, reuse and recycle. As for the color tones on the shirts, those typical of a football field were used: the verdigris of the grass and the brown of the soil.
