the slovenian Tadej Pogacar (UAE Emirates), recent winner of Paris-Nice, will return to competition this Friday at ‘E3 Sax Bank Classic’ and will repeat on Sunday at Ghent-Wevelgem.
The Emirates team lined up at E3 with Pogacar, Sjord Bax, Mikkel Bjerg, Ryan Gibbons, Rui Oliveira, Matteo Trentin and Tim Wellens.
“After Paris-Nice, I am full of confidence, as is the team, so we are ready to face the classics.. This is my first time at E3, so it’s a new experience and a new challenge. I’m motivated here, the atmosphere in Belgium these weeks is something special and the people’s passion for cycling is really good,” said Pogacar.
For Sunday’s Ghent-Wevelgem, the UAE team will consist of Pogacar, Pascal Ackermann, Félix Gross, Vegard Stake Laengen, Sebastián Molano, Rui Oliveira, Matteo Trentin and Tim Wellens.
