This Saturday and on the occasion of Spanish clash at Rosaleda a pioneering initiative will be launched. What better time than to take advantage of the first qualifying match of the Spanish absolute men’s team for the final stage of Euro Germany 2024 and the premiere of Luis de la Fuente.
Because tomorrow, a group of visually impaired people will have the opportunity to follow the match through Escoita, a feature integrated into the RFEF app, which consists of a descriptive narration of the match without advertising and without commentary, all combined with ambient sound.
This function, available in the “RFEF Match Narration for Blind People” app, was made possible thanks to the Hat Trick UEFA Social Responsibility funds, which provided the necessary funds to launch the completely pioneering adapted narration tool.
The RFEF has also signed an agreement with ONCE through Fernando Riaño, director of Sustainability / ESG and Institutional Relations at Grupo Social ONCE, the result of which this initiative will be disseminated to all members of the organization, throughout the country and internationally.
After the first pilot experience in the Spain-Iceland match played in Riazor on March 30, 2022, this technology has been adapted to the RFEF app, which will serve to narrate at least seven matches for the senior men’s team, starting this Saturday.
This function, available in the app “RFEF narration matches for the blind”, This was made possible thanks to the Hat Trick UEFA Social Responsibility funds, which provided the necessary financing to launch the completely pioneering adapted storytelling tool.
The Spanish Federation has also signed an ONCE through agreement Fernando RianoDirector of Sustainability/ ESG and Institutional Relations at Grupo Social ONCE, the result of which this initiative will be disseminated to all members of the organization, throughout the country and internationally.
