The AFEplayers union, released this Tuesday a official statement about the information published by El Confidencial, according to which lawyer Ramón Caravaca acknowledged receiving “the professional designation of the RFEF president” for investigate David Aganzopresident of this association.
The Federationin turn, reacted to this information by issuing an official note in the morning in which it describes ‘absolutely not true‘ the premise of which said information ‘concerns an error in teaching the open method that is the RFEF’.
In its statement, the union describes these events as ‘disgusting‘, called the practice of commanding a spying of ‘mob‘, therefore it demands ‘the immediate disqualification‘ by Luis Rubiales, president of the Federation.
Also, AFE announces the adoption of appropriate measures (…) before the assumption illegal practices working with the RFEF’, whose sole purpose, they say, is ‘intimidate, force‘ and make it difficult for the union to function properly, something he describes as ‘unjustified interference’. Among these actions, it announced the sending of letters to CSD, FIFA, UEFA and ILO so that the appropriate measures are adopted, including that Rubiales no longer be president of the RFEF.
The AFE concludes by regretting that this type of “behavior clearly damages the image of Spanish football (…) therefore must act immediately and forcefully”, while emphasizing the damage that can all this leads to Spain’s candidacy for the 2030 World Cup.
