“Whoever attacked us will explain themselves in court”

Joan Laporta had a crowd bath in IX Trobada de Penyes Barcelona supporters of Alacant, in San Miguel de Salinas, where he reiterated that he feels that FC Barcelona is the object of a smear campaign. Laporta stated that “the attacks will not prosper, I feel that we come out stronger and that we are the reference for millions of people.” The president of Barcelona was in the evening before the Congress of Peñas de Andalucía in Órgiva (Granada) and linked both events.

In the speech he gave in the plenary hall of the Town Hall from the town, received by the mayor, Juan de Dios Fresneda, Laporta said that “The sentiment of Barcelona cannot be bought or sold, nor is it polluted”. Seen moving and in the presence of former players like Ricardo Serna and Julio Alberto Moreno, the president of Barcelona pointed out that “some very serious attacks on our institution anger us and touch our hearts, these are attacks in 123 years of history. We saved the club and now we’re taking it back. We have come out of the crisis thanks to our history, but other clubs need another competition model to survive and compete with clubs that have states behind them”.

He again said that “who attacks honor Barça have to explain themselves in court”. And he handed it to a large group: “Now they are all before us. Many characters and institutions will be revealed.
