Movistar was announced this Wednesday to the cyclists who will form their teams this coming weekend for the Paris-Roubaixwith the women’s test scheduled for Saturday and the men’s for Sunday.
This last, third monument of the period after Milan-San Remo and the Tour of Flanders, will be attended by Iván García Cortina, Oier Lazkano, Mathias Norsgaard, Johan Jacobs, Juri Hollmann, Lluís Mas and Iván Romeo. García Cortina will act as team leader.
The Asturian has finished in the top30 of the event in the last two seasons and, after his twenty-first place in the Tour of Flanders, he will try to jump into the top20 in the ‘Hell of the North’. Who will not be with the team is Imanol Erviti, ninth in 2016 in this race.
The five women who will participate in Movistar’s test on Saturday have also been identified. will be Gloria Rodríguez, Sheyla Gutiérrez, Aude Biannic, Floortje Mackaij and Arlenis Sierra. This will be the third edition in which the women’s race has been held, with wins in the previous two for Lizzie Deignan in 2021 and for Elisa Longo Borghini last year.
