The Italian Sergio ‘Bobo’ Giro, The former player of Inter, Juventus or Cagliari, among others, where he raised a total of four ‘Scudetti’, died early this Tuesday at the age of 77.
He striker ‘Bobo’ Giro belongs to the select club of six players who have lifted four ‘Scudetti’ with three different teams. He did it twice with Inter (1965, 66) and once with Cagliari (1970) and Juventus (1977).
Besides, Giro lifts the European Cup with Inter (1965)two Intercontinental Cups (1964, 65) and a UEFA Cup with ‘Juve’ in (1977).
With the Italian team, the striker was part of the expedition that finished runner-up in Mexico 1970.
He Cagliari, club where ‘Bobo’ is part of the Hall of Fame, mourned his death this Wednesday with a statement.
“‘Bobo left late at night leaving a huge void. Cagliari and its people mourn him in great pain, remembering the enormous human value as a footballer, who joins the pain of his family and loved ones. Ciao, ‘Stupid’,. Thank you! Now you can meet other heroes,” the letter reads.
