Christophe Galtier: “The situation is unacceptable”

Date:

It’s not just any week. In the PSG crisis and after Mbappé’s anger yesterday related to his image rights, Christophe Galtier appeared in a press conference ready to make peace. During training this morning, Al Khelaifi went to the Camp des Loges to talk to his players. The message is clear: “It cannot continue like this,” said the president of the Parisian team.

Al Khelaifi’s visit: “The details of his conversation remain in the locker room. It is important that he comes and speaks before tomorrow’s match against Nice. The situation is unacceptable and we have to react. The president spoke to everyone, not just the players. I also felt questioned because I was equally responsible. We can’t go on like this.”

Coach’s words: “It was not a dialogue with the footballers but a speech on my part. Later I spoke individually with some of them to define some game situations. I have not been through the locker room but everyone has been training good this week”.

Mbappé’s anger at PSG: “It is difficult to go into assessment on this issue. Kylian exercised normally, focused as usual. I know you have spoken to management and the misunderstanding has been resolved.”

Galtier’s post, on air: “I feel legitimate and supported by the club, but naturally there is pressure after eight defeats in 2023. We have to win this league no matter what. The advantage is six points with Lens and Marseille. Do we let ourselves go back or do we react?

Nice, a real test: “They signed several players this season and they need time to adapt, but now they are a compact team, with a good defense and the character to win the ball back. In attack Pépé came , which Ligue 1 is well known for”.
