In the year 2026 it is when the FIFA’s first major change in the usual structure of windows dedicated to national teams. What until now are eight days in September where the national leagues stop for two matches, from this year the national competitions they will stop until fifteen days.
In this case, instead of two parties, they will be four the matches that the teams can play. A date that will mean an important break when the national leagues have done nothing but start.
So in the year 2026 this first break will come from September 21 to October 6, with the same date. In 2027, this period will include almost the same dates, from September 20 to October 5.
In 2028, it will be moved forward a few more days, from September 18 to October 2. It will be in 2029 when this delay will take place later as it will start on September 24 and last until October 9. This new scenario ends in forecasting the dates for 2030 where the competitions will stop from September 23 to October 9.
Definitely new scenario which will not only affect national leagues, but also continental club competitions such as the Champions League, Europa League and Conference as far as UEFA is concerned.
