Harry Kaneforward of Tottenhamcommented in an interview with sports in the sky that your club should reflect, look back and try to recover the values that led him to talk to the best teams in Europewhen I was Mauricio Pochettino who trained them
“We had three or four very good years when we were competing at the top and that was not spending a lot of money. We had a good mix of young and experienced players. In football it is impossible to snap your finger and go back to the good old days and say ‘let’s go back to how it was,’ because every era and every situation is different. But I feel like there were certain values of that era and a culture that really pushed us to achieve the things we did,” he said.
He added that “I feel like the values of this club have been lost a bit over the years. It’s about finding a way to get back on the same page. Everyone wants to win and lift trophies and, ultimately, that is our target every year. But we are in a different situation than some clubs around us and we have to accept that, but we still have to find a way to be better and better. Maybe we haven’t has been doing that for the last few years, So it’s about getting back to racing at the top and our team has enough talent to do that.”
Finally, in the victory conceded against newcastle (6-1), commented that “it’s difficult. Before every season you have goals as a team and you set out to achieve things, win things and throughout the season we had great moments. We achieved great results, but we haven’t found the consistency necessary to be at the top level”
