95 cyclists from 29 countries, starting this Tuesday on the Andalusia Elite Women Cycling Tour

The big day has come. The first edition of Route of the Sun Cycling Tour Andalusia Elite Women It will take place this Tuesday, with a platoon of 95 cyclists divided into 17 teams and representing 29 different countries. The female multicolored snake will feature females from Paraguay, Iran, Jamaica, Cuba, Cyprus, Rwanda, United States, Australiaa… and seven Andalusian women with high banners in the region.

Talking about “banners” in Andalusian cycling suggests a reference to Belen Lopez (1984, Nasira). Twenty seasons competing at the highest level, with three Spanish Cups and several national championship medals, saw the woman from Rota, who now combines teaching as a professor of Biology and geology in competition, defending the colors of Women’s Massi Tactic.

The complex with the largest Andalusian representation is the Prolongo, which is managed by Andalusian Cycling Club of Cártama (Málaga).
