Erica Hermannex-boyfriend of Tiger Woods who sued the golf superstar for $30 million, states that Woods forced her to sign a confidentiality agreement about their sexual relationship or risk losing her job at his restaurant.
The non-disclosure agreement (NDA) was a previously known element of the lawsuit, but Friday’s state court filing in Florida clarified Herman’s position on the key piece of evidence.
According to USA Today, Herman’s attorney Benjamin Hodas wrote: “Mr. Woods is Ms. Herman’s employer. According to Mr. Woods’ own representation of the facts, he imposed an NDA on her as a condition of keeping her job when he began having a sexual relationship with her. A boss who imposes different working conditions on his employee because of their sexual relationship does sexual harassment“, he explained.
The Hodas document added: “Tiger Woods, the world-renowned sportsman and one of the most powerful figures in world sport, decided to have sex with his employee and then, according to him, forced him to sign an NDA about it. or otherwise you will be fired,” said the document presented by his lawyer. “And, when he became angry about their sexual relationship, he tricked her into leaving his house.locked him up, took his money, pets and personal property, and tried to force him to sign another NDA.”
Friday’s filing also detailed Herman’s version of events that led to Woods allegedly kicking her out of the home they shared.
According to USA Today, Hodas’ court document states: “The owner made possession of his home conditional on him having a sexual relationship with a co-tenant. Such conduct amounts to sexual harassment under federal and Florida fair housing laws.”
“The brief summary of the events here and the defendant’s own association of the alleged agreement with his sexual motivations both at his work and at his home. is sufficient to bring this case within the purview of the Forced Arbitration Termination Act“.
USA Today reported that it could not reach Woods’ attorney, JB Murray, for comment. Murray previously said Herman was “not a victim of sexual assault or abuse.”
