The 2022 Formula 1 Spanish Grand Prix will be seen open this year thanks to the sublicense agreement signed by Mediaset España with Movistar Plus+the platform that will also broadcast qualifying sessions and the race to be held at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, in the Barcelona municipality of Montmeló, the weekend of Sunday May 22.

Broadcasts on Mediaset España will have the narration of Gonzalo Serrano and the comments of motor journalist Iván Vicario and ex-pilot Jaime Alguersuari. Matías Prats Chacón will travel the circuit to report on the venue of everything happening in the competition.

In the absence of the Miami Grand Prix to be held next weekend before the Spanish event, Charles Leclerc, from Ferrari, leads the World Championship classification, followed by Max Verstappen and Checo Pérez, from the Red Bull team. Spaniards Carlos Sáinz and Fernando Alonso occupy the fifth and fifteenth positions, respectively.

The Spanish Grand Prix is ​​the sixth round of the season and one of the most anticipated and exciting for our country’s fans.. The race has been held in Montmeló since 1991, the year in which British Nigel Mansell won.

Since then, Michael Schumacher and Lewis Hamilton have been the drivers with the most wins on the Catalan circuit with six times each, where Hamilton has accumulated the last five victories. For his part, Fernando Alonso occupied first place in 2006 and 2013.
