Grant won Jabra against Van Dam

The 23-year-old Nordic Linn Grant (-9), who has not competed for two and a half years (US Open in December 2020) on the LPGA because she has not been vaccinated against Covid (the veto has been lifted), this Saturday she achieved her fifth win on the Ladies European Tour (LET), a certified Jabra Ladies Open repoker.

Grant overtook Anne van Dam (-7). The Helsinborg golfer, who has 2022 to frame for his Joburg, Belgian Open, Scandinavian Mixed and Skafto Open crowns, stumbled at the Evian Resort GC tied for second place with a late birdie, tying Gala Celine Herbin, winner at the French Open in 2015 and the La Reserva de Sotogrande Invitational in 2019.

Neither Van Dam nor Herbin got a ticket for The Amundi Evian Championship, the ‘major’ that hosts the same route in the summer, and the prize is deserted, as it is reserved for the winner and, in case this, Grant has already classified.

Among the Spaniards, the top ten (-3) of Ana Peláez, who climbed to eighth position with an excellent 68 finish. The woman from Malaga is now third in the Race to Costa del Sol after being narrowly passed by Grant. In the final overall she passed Nuria Iturrioz (PAR), who finished outside the top ten. Carmen Alonso (PAR) was also thirteenth with a round of 69. Emma Cabrera (+4) was 33rd; María Hernández (+5), 37th; Mireia Prat (+13), 64th, and Laura Gómez (+15), 67th.
