Her first non-European journey led to secretary Barbara Eibinger-Miedl (ÖVP) to China in Beijing, she participated in the annual General Meeting of the Asian Infrastructure Bank (AIIB). On the spot she tells the “Kroon” how Austrian companies benefit from and what the Chinese do better than we do.
“Krone”: This is your first trip outside of Europe – why exactly China?
Barbara Eibinger-Miedl: This is the result of the fact that the ten -year meeting of the AIIB takes place here in Beijing. A very special meeting because it is the birthday, Austria was one of the founders. We have the choice of a new president on the agenda – Jiayi would take over from Jin Luqun. For this reason alone, it was important that Austria was politically represented.
