Inzaghi: “You don’t have to think or trust yourself”

Inter will face one of the most important nights in its history tomorrow. In his hand he has the option of reaching the finals of the Champions League if he finishes off his neighbors Milan, who he outclassed last week in the first leg which ended 0-2. However, Simone Inzaghi doesn’t want anyone to relax in the locker room because at this point and with everything at stake, any detail can make the difference.

Other derbies: “It’s going to be an important night for sure. A historic match, one of the most relevant for Inter. I repeat myself but I never get tired of saying this: tomorrow we have to come together and work together from start to finish. The fans have been with us through the good times and the bad. You have to keep a cool head and a warm heart. These kinds of commitments are discussed only in this way”.

The duel in Milan: “We know our rival very well. We are ready, as always against Benfica. We were just over ninety minutes away from achieving a dream with all these amazing men. Thanks to them we also reached the final of the Italian Cup”.

Reaching the final, between surprise and miracle: “When the draw was made for the group stage, I remember that there was general disappointment. We were not so lucky. But I told my footballers that Bayern or Barça will not be happy or calm about facing Inter too”.

Emotion regulation: “If I think we’re in the finals? Not much less. We are a serious, mature and respectful club. We haven’t done anything yet. No need to think or trust or want to manage 0-2 of the first leg. We are confident that we can repeat a good game to be fully qualified”.
