Zakaria Abouhlal was removed from Toulouse because of a misogynistic statement, reports RMC Sport. The 23-year-old attacker will speak in an unacceptable way to the deputy mayor and sports councilor of Toulouse, Laurence Arrigageduring the works of the Cup celebration.
The deputy mayor asked the group of players to be quiet so he could speak. “Where I come from, women don’t talk to men like that,” replied Abukhlal, who was born in Gorinchem. The deputy mayor does not want to discuss the matter, but RMC Sport is relying on several witnesses who confirm Aboukhlal’s statements.
Toulouse was shocked by the story and decided to suspend Aboukhlal, who a few hours ago refused to wear the rainbow jersey, indefinitely. “The player will train outside the group until further notice, pending the results of an internal investigation. We will not comment further.”
