José Mourinho, coach of Roma, did not speak, after his team’s draw in debt today against Salernitana at the Olympic Stadium (2-2), when analyzing the 10-point penalty imposed by Juventus for the ‘capital gains case’.
“It’s a joke to know two games from the end. For us, for everyone, even for Juve: it wasn’t easy for them; points won inside the field which were eventually withdrawn two days from the end”, Mourinho assured.
The Portuguese coach regretted that “if they had told me before the game in Monza or Bologna, the strategy would have been different. We decided to put everything in the Europa League and it’s over. Now instead…”.
Mourinho reserved the forces for the Europa League matches, the final of which will be played against Sevilla, with the aim of winning the title and qualifying for the Champions League, but after Juventus’ penalty, Roma placed fifth in Series A, four points behind the Champions League positions.
“I feel bad for Allegri”
Finally, Mourinho assured that “I feel sorry for everyone, even for Max Allegri (Juventus coach), for professional colleagues like me who have to face this situation. It involved everyone. I think it compromises the regularity of the championship, but I don’t want to talk about it any more.”
