Diakhaby ‘run away’ from ‘Racists, out of football’ banner

Date:

After the racist insults suffered by Vinicius Jr at the Mestalla on Sunday and the huge controversy that has been experienced since then, all LaLiga matches start with a picture of the two teams behind a banner with the motto ‘Racists, out of football’ but one of the Majorca-Valencia this thursday is gone. Mouctar Diakhaby did not want to pose with others and stood behind the group consisting of footballers and referees but was clearly visible.

Valencia’s Franco-Guinean central defender denounced last season a racist insult from Cadiz player Juan Cala and the club that came to withdraw from the field of play. But LaLiga warned that this would mean losing the game, the team returned (without Diakhaby) and the clash ended and the investigation opened by LaLiga ended up being closed due to lack of evidence.

The player this week expressed his support for diakhaby and asked the Valencia a strong punishment for those involved but he made it up River that he entered the controversy to ensure that “only time puts every clown in his place.”

The central defender did not mince words in his response but gave a clue as to what he believes happened in that investigation. “You’re still talking because they’re protecting you so shut up,” he said. In his behavior this Thursday, he gives the impression that diakhaby believe there are different metrics depending on whose complaint it is.
