He Nottingham Forest announced this Friday the departure of Jesse Lingardthe club’s highest-earning player, after a disappointing first season.
Lingard arrived last summer forest from Manchester Utdwhere his contract expired, but in ‘tricky trees’ he failed to score or assist in the 17 Premier League games he played.
His best contribution, to the Carabao
The 30-year-old English midfielder has barely played three games since December due to various injuries. His biggest contribution came in the Carabao Cup, where the forest reached the semifinals, and scored two goals and distributed two assists.
Lingardfrom the lower categories of Manchester UtdHe played over 200 games with the ‘red devils’ and between goals and assists he contributed to over 50 goals.
At Forest, he is the highest paid in the squad, with a salary of more than 100,000 pounds a week (120,000 euros), even though his contract is only for one season.
