the American Rose Zhang, 20, made history this Sunday by winning the Mizuho Americas Open tournament in her senior professional debut. on the women’s LPGA circuit.
Zhang, a double college champion, was crowned at Liberty National Golf Course in New Jersey after winning a tiebreaker from Jennifer Kupcho and he became the first player to debut as a professional with the trophy since 1951.
The last player capable of achieving this feat was Beverly Hanson.
Zhang is the youngest player in a tournament on the LPGA circuit this year, at the age of 20 years and eleven months.
His great result was celebrated by a legend like Tiger Woodswon fifteen majors in his career.
