Spain will host a pre-Olympic tournament for Paris 2024both girls and boys at the beginning of next year, as announced on Tuesday by International Hockey Federation (FIH) after his meeting Executive committeewho also agreed to that China arrange another women’s qualifier.
The organization must still confirm the host of the second men’s pre-Olympic, to decide the teams classified for the next Games, in addition to the continental champions and France as host.
In other decisions, the Executive also agreed that Spain would be the place forWomen’s Nations Cup that it will be held in June 2024 and the world calendar will now be established for 4 years and published annually in October.
It also solved the Committee of Athletes It will have a new structure, which will improve the flow of communication between them around the world and give them greater opportunities to participate in administrative decision-making. The Committee will consist of 10 members and each continental federation will elect 2.
The FIH explained that during the meeting, held at Lausanne Olympic House (Switzerland) in the presence of the IOC President, Thomas Bachalso presented its new “empowerment and engagement strategy”.
